Johnson Brothers Corporation, a Southland Company, in Grapevine, Texas, seeks a Project Engineer - Facilities to be responsible for preconstruction engineering and project management support. Specific duties include: (i) coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors; (ii) drafting Purchase Orders and Subcontract Agreements; (iii) preparing and maintaining Submittal and RFI Logs; (iv) reviewing project submittals per plans, specifications, and contract documents; (v) using BIM software within the project setup to produce coordination drawings after clash resolution and generate schedule of materials for procurement and buyout; (vi) assisting with the project schedules, including tracking progress and monitoring lead times and deliveries of scheduled materials and equipment; (vii) assisting with change orders; (viii) assisting field engineering, survey, and construction teams in preparing work plans for execution; (ix) assisting QA/QC team with information related to project documents; (x) assisting with the coordination of startup and commissioning activities; and (xi) assisting with project close-out documentation.
Must have a bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Must have any experience with or knowledge of: (i) AutoCad, Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, Bluebeam Revu, and Primavera P6; (ii) analyzing and interpreting contract specifications, drawings, and project schedules; (iii) contract procedures and principles; (iv) reviewing submittals and shop drawings; (v) reviewing design build project documents, collaborating with Architects, evaluating architectural design options, and recommending cost saving measures; (vi) preparing subcontracts and purchase orders; and (vii) architectural design and 3D modeling.
Must be willing and able to travel up to 25%.
Must be willing to work in a drug-free environment and agree to a post offer drug test.
Experience can be concurrent.
