OVERVIEW
Georgia Power is seeking a Videographer/Editor to join our brand Creative Team.
The Videographer/Editor is responsible for digitally capturing, editing and archiving footage and occasional still photography for use in internal and external communication channels at Georgia Power.
The Videographer/Editor will execute high quality, consistent videography and maintain the field camera, lighting and audio equipment. The Videographer/Editor will compose video based on the look and feel of the company brand/style and ensure footage has proper lighting and composition to effectively communicate.
The Videographer/Editor will use footage captured and other elements to edit highly impactful video products, using strong storytelling and editing, motion graphics and animation skills to deliver on budget and on time.
In addition to superior technical skills and proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro and After Effects), the Videographer/Editor must be highly organized and able to meet project needs and deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with the Photography and Video team lead and other producers to develop shoot concepts and capture desired results
Develop multimedia products for clients as required, ensuring accrual to master brand
Serve as an active participant in department crisis communications preparations and activities (storms, emergencies, etc)
Participate in Corporate Affairs department meetings and serve on work teams as requested.
Shoot video and still photography in field and in studio as required
Edit, create motion graphics and animations as required
Maintain field camera, lighting and audio equipment
Engage resources and collaborate with team to produce the final products required
Establish and communicate production schedules as needed
Ensure work is completed on time and on budget
Engage in professional development to continuously grow and remain competitive with outside services
Skills and Knowledge Required
Superior video and technical production skills including mastery of camera, audio, and lighting techniques
Superior technical skills and mastery of editing, motion graphics, animation, color correction and other authoring tools, specifically the Adobe Creative Suite.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Creative problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills with ability to perform and adjust under pressure
Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines and budget restrictions
Experience capturing still photography is a plus
Reel showcasing work will be required
