Environmental Affairs Lab Analyst - Dosimetry

Please Note: This is a FULL-TIME, ON-SITE position, 5 days per week, 40 hours per week @ 2480 Maner Rd, Atlanta, GA

There is also a travel requirement for this position up to 25% of the time for conferences, meetings, etc.

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for performing dosimetry analysis and reporting to ensure efficiency and compliance for our nuclear customers; to include but no limited to analysis and calibration of Optically Stimulated Luminescence (OSL) devices, Pocket Ion Chambers (PIC) and/or Electronic Dosimeters (ED). Also to assist lab in any and all functions as needed per laboratory management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills )

BS degree in Biology, Chemistry or related science.

Must be able to work within a team environment and a good listener.

Must be detail-oriented, self-directed and possess good organizational skills.

Experience with quality control requirements for processing methods.

Computer proficiency using instrument and data management software.

Prepare, process, and ship dosimeters under the guidance of senior analyst.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

75% - Analysis and calibration of dosimetry equipment

15% - Reporting duties, including quality control of documentation

10% - Corresponding with customers and tracking shipments
