Experienced Medical Receptionist - FLOATER Southern Vitreoretinal Associates (SVA) Medical Receptionist, under direction of the Front Office Manager, checks patients in and out. Responsible for ensuring the patient is checked in upon entering the building and verifying demographic information, insurance information, and collecting co-payments, and confirming the patient arrived for the correct date and time. The Medical Receptionist is responsible for checking patients out, collecting payment, scheduling follow-up appointments, and initiating and completing referral processes. This is a floating position that requires travel. The home office is in our Valdosta, GA location, and will travel to Tifton, GA once to twice a week, depending on the schedule rotation. Occasionally may be asked to travel to other locations (Tallahassee, FL and Albany, GA) when coverage is needed. Travel is reimbursed for both mileage and time.
