Southern Technical College is seeking a Registrar.
Responsibilities:
1. Serves as a principal source of information on administrative, academic, and procedural matters to students, prospective students, faculty, and staff.
2. Processes applications for admissions. Ensures compliance with administrative policies and procedures. Assists students with the completion of forms. Reviews and verifies forms for completeness and accuracy.
3. Establishes and maintains student files, ensuring all personal, financial, and academic records are kept current and accurate. Monitors student records to ensure compliance to academic regulations and program requirements for graduation.
4. Maintains logs and records. Compiles statistical data and information. Summarizes data in reports or analyses.
5. Submit SAP students for Academic counseling.
6. Coordinates teaching schedules for academic classes. Schedules classroom assignments.
7. Monitors financial records and activity.
8. Post tuition and fee charges as needed.
9. Post daily attendance.
10. Collect student payments and prepare bank deposits.
11. Cancel new student and adjust fees as information is received.
12. Process refund calculations and R2T4 calculations on all drops and adjust ledger card as needed.
13. Oversees and instructs support staff.
14. Performs clerical functions incidental to office activities.
Qualifications:
1. Excellent follow-up skills.
2. Ability to meet demanding time constraints.
3. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
4. Ability to multi-task.
5. Demonstrated initiative and a self-starter.
6. Well-developed working knowledge of PCs and the Windows' environment.
7. Knowledge of FERPA compliance.
8. Experience in a private postsecondary environment a plus.
9. Excellent customer service skills; and
10. Strong oral and written communication skills
11. Knowledge of CampusVue preferable
