Job Title: “Brewer” (but we’re open to other fun titles should you want to get creative *subject to management approval)

Job Description: If you have experience brewing and working as a brewer – we want to talk to you! You will work very closely with the Director of Brewery Operations, the General Manager and ownership team. If you’ve worked in a brewery and looking for FULL experience and deep investment in your learning to be a rockstar brewer this might be the perfect fit! Everyday you’ll get to work from a BRAND NEW brewery with all the bells whistles, and did we mention a fully air conditioned facility?

Responsibilities:

· Brew Amazing Beer!

· Responsible for full brewing process, milling, mash, cellar management, fermentation, yeast harvesting and monitoring, barrel aging, canning and packaging.

· Support brew schedule, plans, and forecasting together with Director of Brewery Operations

· Assist in new equipment provisioning, training, and operations

· Coordinate brew schedules, canning , and packaging

· Schedule and maintain preventative maintenance in conjunction with operations

· Update beer activities in Brewery software solution

· Support cleaning activities and shape and adhere to master cleaning program

· Create/audit/validate SOP’s

· Work together with FOH and GM to incorporate feedback and sensory programs for staff, and periodically we hope you’ll pop up at beer festivals and brag about your craft!

Physical /other requirements:

· Forklift experience

· Be comfortable in production areas with pressure vessels, steam, hot water, confined spaces, and loud noise

· Minimum lift requirements 50lbs, 150 by Hand Truck

· Perform safe operational and material handling, and maintain a clean and tidy working environment

· Follow and improve SoPs, focus on loss prevention, and focus on safety and security of our people, guests and facilities.

· Clean Driving record

· Follow OSHA regulations about forklifts, chemical handling, LOTO

· Breweries and kitchens are noisy, the ability to operate in loud environments is essential.

o All employees will attend Southern Tail Brewing school to learn about our operation, the beer and food, and how to be a successful team member.

o If your role requires it, ST Brewing will pay for your ServSafe Alcohol and/or ServSafe FoodSafety certificate.

o Cicerone Certified Beer Server is covered by STBrewing for all employees after one year of service.
