Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of construction projects and providing detailed proposals to clients. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of construction management, project estimation, and cost control.
Duties:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and materials required
- Utilize HeavyBid software to prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop comprehensive project proposals
- Conduct site visits to gather information and assess project requirements
- Research and analyze historical data, market trends, and industry standards to ensure accurate pricing
- Prepare detailed take-offs and quantity surveys for bidding purposes
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and provide cost control recommendations
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure timely completion of estimates and proposals
Experience:
- Proven experience in construction estimating, preferably in the [specific industry]
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices
- Proficiency in using estimating software such as HeavyBid
- Familiarity with project management methodologies
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Excellent mathematical skills for accurate quantity take-offs and cost calculations

- Proficient in using Bluebeam or similar software for document markup and collaboration
