The Company:
Southern Roots Periodontics and Dental Implant Specialists have been in the dental business since 2014 and have been recognized as Top Dentists by Cincinnati Magazine and NKY Magazine.

The Position:
We’re looking for a full-time surgical assistant who wants to help patients receive an excellent clinical and value experience at our office. The assistant communicates with patients about their surgical treatment, vitals, home care, and future appointments, and performs various tasks required for patient care.

Assistant Responsibilities:
⦁ Communication with patients to collect relevant information and schedule follow-up/post-operative appointments
⦁ Assist the doctor with surgeries and post-op/follow-up visits (assisting as well as taking clinical notes and charting)
⦁ Review medical and dental history; and taking Vitals (ex. blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation, blood sugar...)
⦁ Maintain Sterilization and lab equipment weekly; routine management of inventory and tracking supplies
⦁ Taking clinical photographs, radiographs or CT scans, digital oral scans or impressions; pouring up impressions into stone models and trimming, making surgical guides in office
⦁ Surgery and Post-Op room set up and break down, room cleaning and turnover
⦁ Escorting patients to and from treatment rooms
⦁ Discuss pre-op/post-op instructions, and patient consent and forms with patients
⦁ If trained, perform coronal polishing, splint repair, or start IVs
