Job Duties:
- Performs a variety of production duties, including but not limited to forklift operation, truck driving, material handling, maintenance of department equipment, inventories, accepting donated items, safety and vehicle inspections, housekeeping.
- Ensures shift driver route assignments are completed and schedules extra runs if needed.
- Ensures shift vehicle and warehouse safety inspections are completed.
- Completes assigned shift paperwork and reports.
- Ensures building and lot is securely and safely opened and/or closed.
- Trains and may periodically direct the work of department employees.
- Conducts inventories and submits reports.
- Ability to safely operate a variety of material handling equipment such as forklift, delivery truck, compactor, and baler.
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, clients, customers, and the public.
- Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Exercise judgment, resourcefulness, ingenuity, and initiative.
- Technical skills include a good understanding of and ability to operate a variety of production equipment.
- Valid Oregon Driver’s License, car insurance and reliable transportation required.
- Handles and moves a materials around the worksite.
- Ability to push/pull and carry up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Pushes heavy wheeled carts, pallet jacks, hand trucks and other material handling equipment with loads weighing up to 250 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to stand and walk on hard surface floor for extended period of up to 8 hours. Ability to perform repetitive tasks for up to 8 hours.
- Must be able to work with others in congested areas.
