Southern Montana Optometric Center is Hiring an Optometric Assistant Near Laurel, MT

```Job Summary```
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Optometric Assistant to join our team. As an Optometric Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting with various administrative tasks. If you have a passion for healthcare and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

```Duties```
- Greet patients and assist with check-in procedures
- Perform preliminary tests such as measuring vital signs and visual acuity
- Update patient medical history and input data into electronic health record systems
- Assist the optometrist during eye examinations and procedures
- Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance
- Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and waiting areas

```Qualifications```
- Previous experience working in a medical or optometry setting is preferred but not necessary
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy practices
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications

Please note that this position may also involve some retail sales responsibilities, as we offer a selection of eyewear products to our patients.
