Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our holistic dental practice. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, perform patient assessments, and help with patient communication and education.

Duties:
- Prepare patients for dental procedures by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping patients
- Assist the dentist in various procedures
- Take dental x-rays
- Perform patient assessments including vital signs and medical history review
- Maintain aseptic techniques and adhere to infection control protocols
- Manage patient flow by assisting with scheduling and recordkeeping using Dentrix Ascend
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care
- Assist with documentation and maintaining accurate patient records

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant
- Knowledge of dental assisting procedures and terminology
- Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and vital sign measurement
- Understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Experience with Dentrix Ascend
- Strong communication skills for interacting with patients and staff effectively
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
