Job Description
The Center for Predictive Analytics (C-PAN) seeks to hire a Research Faculty Fellow that will provide specialized skills and knowledge that can be applied to research and development of ongoing externally funded projects with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity. It is anticipated that the Research Faculty Fellow, with the mentorship of C-PAN staff, will develop an independent research agenda in the area of programmatic evaluation as it relates to statewide workforce development initiatives. In service to this goal, the Research Faculty Fellow will provide advocate services in support of the Partners for Reentry Opportunities in Workforce Development (PROWD) initiative. The Research Faculty Fellow will work closely with PROWD participants to provide case management activities, ensure compliance with requirements of grant, and provide updates on program progress, barriers, and promising practices. The Research Fellow will also assist in the transition of participants from Level 2 services to Level 3 services to ensure participants receive quality services. The Research Faculty Fellow will develop research objectives and programmatic evaluation strategies regarding best practices for reentry through collaborative efforts with SAFER, the Salvation Army, and the Illinois Reentry Council. It is anticipated that the hired individual's research will inform state-wide reentry policy for WIOA. This position is remote eligible.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and Master's degree are required with previous experience working with incarcerated individuals.
  • Excellent written and verbal skill are required for this position.
