Industrial Painter Job Description

We are searching for candidates that have experience in a fast paced environment and enjoying working with a team to ensure projects are completed timely.

Industrial Painter Responsibilities:

• Paint various equipment and structures
• Perform pre-painting activities in preparation for painting
• Maintaining technical equipment for the job and ensuring that they are in working order.
• Safely dispose of chemical waste.
• Ensuring that high safety standards are met.
• Utilize different painting techniques based on the nature of the surface.
• Utilize special safety equipment such as painting goggles.
• Use viscosity cups and thickness gauges to measure the amount of paint to be used and the texture of the paint.
• Remove previous paint surfaces using masking or a chemical rinse.
• Paint small items and doing touch-ups.
• Ensuring proper ventilation after the paint is applied.
• Utilize electroplating equipment to coat metal.
• Polish metallic surfaces.
• Paint over woods and plastics.

Industrial Painter Requirements:

• Have a strong background in working with zinc, urethane and epoxy coatings.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Have extensive knowledge in industrial coatings and coating processes
• Proficiency with technical machinery and ability to operate the machinery
• Must be familiar with airless spray rigs, air assisted rigs and air operated spray equipment
• Work outdoors and in variable weather climates
• Able to sit, crouch, or stand for prolonged periods and on uneven surfaces
• Able to lift up to 50lbs. with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Available to work weekends as needed
• Pay to be determined based on experience
• Overtime hours offered

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $23.00 per hour
