Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Hygiene Assistant to join our team. The Dental Assistant will work closely with the dentist and dental hygienist to provide quality dental care to our patients. This is a full-time position with competitive pay.

Duties:

- Assist the dental hygienist during dental procedures

- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations

- Take dental x-rays

- Maintain aseptic technique and infection control protocols

- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment

- Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures

- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans

- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred

- X-ray certification required

- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and equipment

- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software is a plus

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

- Basic knowledge of vital signs and patient assessment
