Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center has an opening for a Coding Supervisor. The Coding Supervisor is responsible for providing first-line supervision for Medical Coding staff as well as be responsible for a portion of the daily workload. This may include Coding Assistants, Medical Coder I & II, and Team Leads. Supervisor’s responsibilities include but are not limited to daily supervision, monitoring of quality, productivity performance, any necessary discipline of staff, as well as be a part of the coding workflow and responsible for a portion of the daily volume of coding. The Coding workforce is predominantly remote. This position also involves participation in process improvement projects and supporting the work needed to meet department and institutional-wide goals. The position requires a high degree of collaboration with Finance, Revenue Cycle Leadership, Chargemaster staff, and the HIM Department.
