Floor Technician
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
· Care for different types of floors (including but not limited to carpet, tile, VCT, wood) by hand and/or use of power equipment.
· Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
· Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
· Clean laboratory equipment, such as glassware and metal instruments, using solvents, brushes, rags, and power cleaning equipment.
· Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
· Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, by spreading snow melting chemicals.
· Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as sporting events, banquets and meetings.
· Job assignments can vary from facility to facility with the possibility of transfer.
Salary Range: $13.00 Hourly
