Job Description

JOB TITLE: Member Services Specialist/Administrative Support

REPORTS TO: President& CEO, Southern Chester County Chamber of Commerce

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-Member Services:

Coordinate and execute Member-related activities including new Member processing, onboarding, tracking, program & event support, and other related duties

Respond to Member questions and requests in accordance with organization’s standards and policies, and use ideas, feedback, and suggestions to continuously enhance and improve services provided to Members

In conjunction with President & CEO, manage the Member RoadMAP retention program to grow as the program’s lead staff liaison

Act as staff liaison for the Ambassador Committee, tend committee meetings and administer tasks: meeting Agenda, Minutes, and related documents

Act as staff liaison for the Chamber’s three Referral Groups. Connect new Members with group presidents, track progress, and communicate with President & CEO, and group presidents

Participate in Chamber’s monthly Drive Your Membership program to meet, connect and build relationships with Members and be available to answer questions

Field prospective member inquiries as needed

-Programs and Events:

Responsible for processing attendee registrations to events and programs, and performing other related duties including prepping event nametags, tracking attendance, and handling close out process

Attend all Chamber events (AM, mid-day and PM) – work alongside Communication & Events Manager with set up, registering attendees and connecting with Members

~Administrative Support:

Prepare monthly Board of Director packets; attend monthly meetings and take Minutes

General front office duties - answer phones, greet walk-ins, and related duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Exceptional interpersonal, customer service, and phone skills

Pleasant personality and able to work in fast-paced environment when necessary

Excellent verbal and written communication skills: must possess above average spelling, punctuation and grammar skills

Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook; database knowledge a plus but not required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal requirements, including sitting for periods of time. Must be able to lift weight up to 50 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Excellent, non-smoking environment.

Job Type: Hourly; 30 hours - five days / week
