Summary

The Physical Therapy Aide position (Aide from here on) is an unlicensed clinical role position. The Aide’s responsibility is to assist patients under the direct supervision and instruction of the treating therapist, assist the therapist, the Director of CRM, the CRM Medical Director, and satellite manager in any tasks they might need in compliance with federal and state mandates and SCOI practices. The Aide can assist in the training of other support staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following

  • Reports to work as scheduled each day.
  • Complies with SCOI policies and procedures.
  • Acts in a manner that is indicative of team spirit and cooperation.
  • Models behaviors that support the Mission, Vision and Values of Southern California Orthopedic Institute.
  • Performs patient related tasks using accepted modalities and procedures geared to progressing patients toward meeting their functional goals under the direct supervision and instruction of the Therapist.
  • Responsible for working with patient charts/EMR including, but not limited to documenting exercises performed, printing out supporting documentation as needed, and scanning/indexing documents.
  • Responsible for informing the Therapist of any changes in the patient’s status as received via the direct patient encounter.
  • Responsible for patient safety under the supervision of the Therapist.
  • Fulfill duties assigned by the Therapists, Directors and/or Managers.
  • Assists in the training of support staff.
  • Must possess proficient knowledge of SCOI systems/processes including the use of SRS and Centricity.
  • Assists with document management, i.e. scanning/indexing, chart preparation
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
