Southern California Eye Consultants is Hiring an Ophthalmic Technician Near Orange, CA

We are looking for a hard-working and patient minded individual who is passionate about medicine. 2 years of experience in an ophthalmology and/or optometry clinic would be ideal, but not necessary as we are willing to train.

The ideal candidate should be willing and able to learn new skills, be a team player with a strong work ethic, provide clinical support to the physician and to the patients as well as give strong attention to detail.

JOB SUMMARY • Take Histories • Patient work up • Prep rooms • Visual field testing • OCT scans /Fundus photos • Assist with office procedures

OB DUTIES • Take Accurate History (Chief complaint, HPI - chronological description of present illness, Review of systems, medication history, allergies, history of surgeries, and family history) • Visual acuity • Auto Refract • Manifest refraction • Read glasses using lensometer • Check pupil reactions, ocular motility and confrontation fields • Check intraocular pressures by Goldmann Tonometry • Visual Field testing • OCT • IOL Master • Fundus Photos • Pachymetry • Patient Call-backs • Fill/Refill RX per doctor orders • Administer drops • Sterilize instruments • Set up for surgical procedures • Clean & Stock exam rooms • Strong computer

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
