JOB TYPE: Full-time JOB SUMMARY: The Coordinator of Events, Activities, and Traditions oversees the Student Activities Council and the events, activities, and traditions developed, planned, and administered by the Boyce College Student Life Department. The Coordinator of Events, Activities, and Traditions reports to the Director of Student Development. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The employee in this position will have the following essential job functions:
Lead and develop the Student Activities Council through selection, training, and discipleship
Create/update the Student Activities Council Handbook each year prior to the Student Leadership Retreat
Develop and oversee campus events and activities through the Student Activities Council
Create and curate Boyce College traditions through events and activities, and through social and other media develop and sustain tradition narratives
Establish, develop, and maintain Boyce College traditions within the greater SBTS community through media and interdepartmental communication and participation
Manage Student Life Activities budget
Oversee, develop, and train ministry teams and volunteers
Oversee all communication related to events, activities, and traditions including campus-wide emails and interdepartmental interaction
Plan and oversee New Student Orientation and Welcome Week activities in fall and spring semesters
Plan and oversee fall and spring student leadership training retreats and activities
Oversee, schedule, and update the activities calendar and EMS
Attend or delegate oversight of all Boyce Student Life events and activities for quality control, success, and evaluation
Under the leadership of the Director of Student Development, plan the annual staff development retreat
Engage inter-departmentally as needed (e.g., Event Productions, Housing, Admissions)
Assist in planning logistics for the annual women's retreat with female Resident Directors
Support Boyce athletic teams through strategic integration of activities and building traditions through athletic events
Evaluate and approve event venues, budgets, and programs with Dean of Students and Director of Student Development
Consult with student organizations to assist with event logistics
Assist Admissions with campus tours and special visit days
Assist the Dean of Students and Director of Student Development as needed
Performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor. EDUCATION: The person in this position must have a bachelor's degree. EXPERIENCE: The person in this position must demonstrate mature leadership, organizational ability, administrative efficiency, clear oral and written communication, event planning ability, and relational maturity. This person must be able to train student leaders, maintain confidentiality, and relate well with the students, administration, faculty, and constituency of Boyce College.
