Job Summary
Transport inpatients, ED, and outpatients to and from the Imaging areas
Essential Functions
- Provides excellence in hospitality, courtesy and compassion
- Transports patients (inpatients and outpatients) to and from the radiology areas
- Keeps patient safety the highest priority
- When transporting patients with catheters, keep Foley bag below level of bladder.
- Assumes care of the patient's physical and psychological needs during the transport
- Duties require interaction with patients of various age groups, social and economic backgrounds
- Transporting chart, contrast and other items upon request
- Retrieves stretchers and wheel chairs from other areas
- Responsible for keeping transport equipment clean
- Any other duties as needed to drive to the Vision, fulfill the Mission, and abide by the Values of the organization
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Job experience in a health care related field
- BLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire required
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation Upon Hire required
