ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provides quality diagnostic radiological services utilizing correct equipment and modality for applicable body part, processes and reviews images to ensure quality;
2. Applies radiation protection devices and positions the patient properly;
3. Sets x-ray equipment at the correct angle and height over the appropriate area of a patient’s body;
4. Sets controls on the x-ray machine to produce x-rays or radiographs of the appropriate density, detail, and contrast;
5. Assists with setting up supplies and prepping patient for injections,
6. Assists physicians with general clinical procedures including suture removal, surgical procedures, lab work, intermuscular injections and other non-surgical procedures;
7. Assists with patient set up and preparation, splinting, drawing up injections, and other related procedures;
8. Maintains assigned clinical supplies including suture kits, X-ray supplies, orthopedic soft goods, casting supplies, walking boots, and other required supplies.
9. Provides patients with copies of images upon request;
10. Provide clinical instruction to students interns/shadowing as needed;
11. Performs other duties as requested;
