Southeastern Machining and Field Service Inc. is a full-service provider of precision machining including full service sheet metal fabrication, engineering and design, machine building and assemblies. We serve diverse customers and industries on a made-to-order basis. We have an immediate opening for a SolidWorks CAD Designer at our Lancaster, Ohio location.

Job Description:

SolidWorks CAD Designer to be the go-to person in our engineering department for manufacturing drawing and document control utilizing SolidWorks (CAD) and FUSION 360 (CAM).

Responsibilities:

· Support the Engineering and Quality departments by updating, maintaining, and creating new detail drawings as per ASME Y14.5 standard. Drawings will be both the finish part drawings and process drawings.

· Maintain and update the company SolidWorks CAD and FUSION 360 (CAM) templates as needed.

· Revision updates to drawings including the Doc Control in our MRP (JobBoss) system.

· Maintain and update the company product catalogs using SolidWorks modeling for the graphics.

Qualifications:

· Minimum of a high school diploma

· Proficient in SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software at a minimum (will be using SolidWorks at SEM)

· Proficient in FUSION 360 CAM or other 3D CAM software is a plus (will be using FUSION at SEM)

· Understanding knowledge of drafting principles and standards ASME Y14.5 including GD&T.

· SolidWorks, FUSION 360, or GD&T training certificates are not required but will be considered a plus.

· Previous MRP (JobBoss) experience will be considered a plus, but not a requirement.

· 1-3 years of on-the-job experience is preferred.

· Strong verbal and written English communications skills.

· Efficient time management ability with minimal supervision.

· Proficient in MS Office products; Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams

· Valid driver’s license for day trips to work with engineering team at customers locations.

· Authorization to work in the USA.

Job Type: Full-time; 8 hours per day, day shift, M-F; OT for any required work over 40 hours
