Reports to: Service Manager/Service Writer
Summary: Lead Technicians are subject matter experts in the areas of service efficiency, technician training and service operational excellence. Lead technicians still retain the responsibility of a technician for repairing, diagnosing and working on/around equipment, however the Lead Technician is expected to have the increased responsibility associated with mentoring other technicians.
Service Responsibilities:
A Lead Technician will be given job assignments that will consist of successfully, efficiently, and accurately performing regular repairs on machinery, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and testing equipment, assisting employees in planning jobs, scheduling workflow in the shop, providing technical advice, assigning jobs to employees, communicating with internal and external customers, and responsible for a clean and safe shop environment.
