OverviewSCCI is seeking a Requirements Analyst to join our team! The successful candidate will be part of a team of engineers/developers working to develop Engineering Support Tools. This position is for current work with expected start date of immediately. This position is located in Dahlgren, Virginia.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand and gather functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Analyze and document business processes and workflows, ensuring alignment with DoD standards and objectives.
  • Develop detailed requirement specifications, ensuring clarity and completeness.
  • Manage documentation through the system engineering lifecycle, adapting to changes and updates.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering teams, project managers, and DoD representatives.
  • Facilitate meetings and discussions to gather insights and feedback on requirements and project progress.
  • Participate in requirements document reviews and technical evaluations.
  • Support engineering review boards and configuration management processes.
  • Implement and manage Agile methodologies (like Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) to improve project flexibility and delivery.
  • Adapt to changing requirements and priorities, ensuring agile practices are effectively integrated into project processes.
  • Provide regular updates on requirements status and ongoing initiatives.
  • Create and present reports using Microsoft Office tools to various stakeholders.
  • Advise on program direction and offer guidance based on requirements analysis.
  • Participate in strategic planning to align IT systems with DoD objectives and requirements.
  • Ensure all requirements and processes comply with DoD standards and security protocols.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand complex requirements and processes.
  • Ability to analyze and document business processes and workflows.
  • Conducting regular compliance checks and internal audits to ensure adherence to all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Keeping abreast of changes in regulations and updating facility practices accordingly.
  • Understanding of the policies, procedures, and standards governing SCIFs, such as those set by the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) or other relevant authorities.
  • Knowledge of physical security measures and counterintelligence techniques to prevent unauthorized access to sensitive information.
  • Providing training to staff and users of the SCIF on security protocols, handling classified information, and awareness of insider threats.
  • Continuously promoting a security-conscious culture within the SCIF.


Essential skills and Experience:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an Active Secret Security Clearance
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, business, or technical discipline; Or Six (6) years' experience specifying and documenting functional and end-user requirements, including analyzing and documenting business processes and workflows for major and emerging DoD programs
  • Three (3) years’ experience in requirements document reviews and technical evaluations with customers / teams
  • Three (3) years’ experience in managing and reporting on requirements and ongoing initiatives
  • Experience with agile (Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban, SAFe, etc.)
  • Three (3) years’ experience in handling internal and external customer groups to develop recommendations relating to program direction and guidance
  • Three (3) years’ experience in supporting engineering review boards, configuration management
  • One (1) year experience in DoD system engineering lifecycle processes and configuration management processes
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs, to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand complex requirements and processes
  • Ability to analyze and document business processes and workflows
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for coordinating with various stakeholders, including facility staff, security personnel, and government officials
  • Ability to write clear and comprehensive security reports and procedures
  • Attention to detail in documentation and reporting
  • Experience with sprint development methodologies, including understanding of standup meetings, backlog refinement, sprint retrospectives, and sprint planning ceremonies. Understanding of relative estimation and prioritization of work items
