Overview

SCCI is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team. If you enjoy analyzing data and providing helpful insight based on that data, this may be the role for you! The successful candidate will collect, organize, and analyze financial information to enable effective cost and performance evaluation by program and project managers. This position is located in Dahlgren, VA.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing project spending plans
  • Tracking estimated versus actual expenditures
  • Tracking/reporting on budget/funding obligations and team travel expenditures
  • Tracking/monitoring subcontractor spend plans and expenditures
  • Analyzing what if cost drills and collaborating with Program Manager to determine the best course of action
  • Constructing cost estimates for future tasking
  • Collaborating with Program Manager on various other management support
  • Interacting with high-level contacts
  • Safeguarding sensitive information with considerable use of tact, discretion and judgment 


Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Security Clearance 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suites: Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Experience gathering data, compiling reports, and preparing correspondences
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and proficiency in typing both words and numbers
  • High degree of professionalism and adherence to high quality standards
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Ability to convey complex financial data and concepts in simple terms to non-financial staff, including senior management

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Associates Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance
  • 2 years of experience providing financial analysis and management support
  • Department of Defense (DoD) financial management experience
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization supporting multiple projects
  • Involvement in strategic planning and financial forecasting
  • Experience with tracking, analyzing, and reporting efforts including cost-to-complete projections
  • Provided revenue projections, monthly metrics, and risk tracking
  • Familiar with utilizing SmartSheet to update/maintain information
  • Experience in Risk Management
