Southeast Neurology and Pain Management is looking to add a New Patient Referral Coordinator to our growing practice. This position is the first point of contact for our referring physicians and for patients interested in establishing with our practice. The ideal candidate will have prior medical experience and be organized, energetic and committed to providing excellent service. We are looking for a self-starter that is motivated, reliable and a team player. .

We offer a great work week of either 4-day (Mon-Thurs 7:30-5:30) or 5-day (Mon-Thurs 8:00-5:00 & Fri 8:00-12:00), take your pick! We offer a competitive salary and a generous benefits package.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working with referring physician offices to ensure proper referral documentation is submitted
• Data entry of patient demographics into our EMR system
• Obtaining insurance verifications and authorizations
• Contacting patients to schedule appointments and ensuring new patient paperwork is completed prior to the appointment
• Maintaining a monthly tracking system on volume and status of referrals
• Serving as a backup to the receptionist and performing other clerical duties for the office

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school degree
• 1-2 years prior medical administrative experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology and EMR systems
• Excellent communication skills and an ability to demonstrate a high degree of diplomacy and tact
• Strong administrative and computer skills to include Word and Excel
• Strong organizational skills and an ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
