Regional LINKS Trainer – Full Time

Immunization Program, Office of Public Health, Louisiana Department of Health

One position in each of the nine Public Health Regions. Position will reside in parishes served under each region: Greater New Orleans; Baton Rouge; Thibodaux; Lafayette; Calcasieu; Alexandria; Shreveport; Monroe; and, Hammond.

MONDAY through FRIDAY 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Salary- $50,000-$60,000

The Louisiana Immunization Network (LINKS) is a secure statewide immunization information system that allows doctors, nurses, and other health professionals to search for, add, and edit patients' vaccination records in a central location. The Regional LINKS Trainerwill providetraining to LINKS users at the regional level and instruct them on how to train future users and offer available resources on LINKS documentation. The Regional LINKS Trainer will provide vaccine provider staff with assistance on vaccine ordering, vaccine inventory, vaccine accountability, running of reports, provider site/facility setup in LINKS, and general troubleshooting. The Regional LINKS Trainer will also monitor LINKS users and record quality assurance at various provider locations to ensure accurate usage of LINKS. Furthermore, this position may assist Senior Immunization Consultants, COVID-19 Specialists, and LANG with special community vaccination events.

There will be one LINKS Trainer in each of the nine public health regions of the state.

This position may require travel to various parts of the public health region in which they are assigned/located.

Job Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree preferred

· Demonstrated experience working and training health professionals

· Skilled in working with technology and online management systems

· Prior training experience preferred

· Excellent organization, time management, reporting, and flexibility

· Computer/technical abilities

· People skills

· Well-developed oral and written communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
