- Performs professional service.
- Supervises professional staff within assigned area or section.
- Assigns staff to specific equipment or job duties.
- Participates in the interviewing of employment candidates.
- Makes recommendations for hiring.
- Orient and trains new employees.
- Completes annual performance evaluations.
- Makes recommendations for merit pay increases.
- Provides disciplinary counseling as required.
- Makes recommendations for disciplinary actions including discharges.
- Reviews and approves time record in the Time and Attendance system.
- Coordinates support staff functions to provide quality patient care.
- Responsible for dissemination and practice of departmental and institutional policies, procedures, regulations, and information.
- Provides input for equipment and supply purchase decisions.
- Controls inventory and purchase supplies for area or section.
- Recommends new or revised departmental policies, procedures, or regulations.
- Assists in budget.
- Provides regular evaluations of staff to the radiology manager or assistant manager.
- Instructs specific units of didactic and/or clinical education in an educational program, if applicable.
- Pursues continuing education.
- Responsible for quality assurance program.
- Responsible for the provision of quality patient care.
- Duties require interaction with patients of various age groups, social and economic backgrounds. Any other duties as needed to drive to the Vision, fulfill the Mission, and abide by the Values of the organization
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Graduate of Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (AMA) accredited educational program or equivalent required
