Physician Billing Services | Cape Girardeau, MO | Full Time
- Manage overall central business office billing and collection functions related to Private, Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care/Commercial insurance and Coinsurance for all Clinic locations
- Oversee Accounts Receivable management responsibilities for the clinics and manages overall department workflow to ensure that cash goals are being met
- Establish quality control standards for each function within the Central Billing Office setting up and monitoring electronic work logs
- Resolve policy interpretation issues on an as needed basis
- Trains and develops staff on new procedures and establishes time frames for all CBO activities
- Responsible for maintaining the EPM system file maintenance for CBO clinics
- Works in unison with IT staff to maintain Next Gen
- Responsible for maintaining department dashboards; Days in AR, Charge Lag, Denial management, Aging reports and daily/weekly/monthly cash goals
- Works with the Operations team to establish and maintain unbilled encounter reports and reports for kept appointment which have no charge associated to ensure timely and accurate charge capture Utilize all the electronic functions available to the revenue cycle to ensure of an efficient process
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Associate's Degree preferred
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years Experience supervising or managing a physician's business office required
- Working knowledge of coding (CPT and ICD9) preferred
- Third party reimbursement preferred
- Collection Laws preferred
- Basic accounting preferred
- Physician Coding Certificate preferred
