WHAT YOU'LL DO:

As a Director of Patient Access, you will administer, plan, direct, and coordinate all Patient Access and Registration activities for Southeast Georgia Health System, which affects the revenue cycle. You will act as a liaison to facilitate solutions and provide needs assessments between internal departments, external payers, medical staff and hospital Administrative team. You will develop, coordinate and execute projects that are necessary to support and/or improve patient access into the System and reimbursement. You will direct payor precertification processes as outlined in participating and contractual agreements. You will provide detailed and high level analyses of monthly health care claim denials. You will analyze current and historical statistical trends including operating performance, special projects and strategic contract initiatives. You will create ad hoc and/or monthly, quarterly or yearly trend reports for the CEO and CFO. You will design and maintain accurate records and databases. You will assist CFO with other assignments and special projects as required.

BACKGROUND:

• BA or BS degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5 or more year’s supervisory experience preferably in health care setting.
