Job Summary: The essential duties are to perform routine and preventive maintenance and repair procedures on buildings, mechanical equipment and utility systems.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform minor repairs of buildings & equipment as applicable and needed
• Make recommendations for major repairs of building & equipment as applicable and needed
• Cleans and inspects light coverings and remove bugs or debris. Maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures
• Ensures all soap and sanitizer dispensers are full and in working condition
• Monitors and test emergency lights monthly and annually, schedule service, maintain logs
• Monitors fire extinguishers monthly, schedule annual service and maintain logs
• Monitor exit lights, schedule repairs as applicable, maintain logs
• Ensure infection control requirements (janitorial care) are met
• Move furniture and equipment, setup and breakdown cubicles as needed for cleaning
• Identify projects that require higher skilled crafts’ services
• Carryout detail evaluation of equipment to ensure that they are in good condition for proper functioning
• Carryout repairs to light fixtures; replacing ballast as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements and Preferences:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Must have the ability to work with cleaning machines & tools
• Have good knowledge of electricity, carpentry and plumbing among other technical skills
• Have good knowledge of troubleshooting techniques in order to determine exact problems and tackle them accordingly
• Excellent ability to communicate system problems to both supervisor and/or management for proper understanding
• Exhibit good mechanical skills to handle equipment to avoid causing injuries to self and others
• 2-3 years of experience highly preferred
• Certifications highly preferred
• Valid CDL highly preferred
