SE!KIDS Large Group Associate

The role of the SE!KIDS Large Group Associate is to serve our SE!KIDS by ensuring quality large group worship service programming for Preschool-5th graders according to the vision and strategy of Southeast Christian Church. This role will assist the SE!KIDS Worship Producer as they create large group spaces that are effectively utilizing technology, curriculum, and available resources to help SE!KIDS discover God, His story, and their place in it in an age-appropriate environment in alignment with the mission, vision and mantras of Southeast Christian Church. This person will Be the Branch while connecting to both new and existing SE!KIDS, as well as volunteers serving in these spaces by developing their gifts, and will help to Unleash the Full Potential of the Church.

Essential Functions:

  • Work with the SE!KIDS Worship Producer to ensure quality programming in the SE!KIDS Large Group Worship Services weekly at the Blankenbaker Campus. (Currently 4 Preschool Services, 4 K-2 Services, 2 3-5 Services and 1 K-5 Service a weekend, however subject to change.)
  • Recruit, train and disciple Tech Crew Volunteers for all SE!KIDS production needs and spaces. Establish a training schedule and program to equip volunteers to be able to problem solve and run the audio, video, lighting and other programs and equipment utilized.
  • Oversee maintenance, updates and ordering of production equipment as needed, partnering with SECC Production team when appropriate. Trouble-shoot during worship services if equipment is malfunctioning.
  • Maintain volunteer scheduling programs for volunteers serving in Large Group worship spaces and SE!KIDS event production using Planning Center.
  • Oversee rehearsals in multiple worship spaces for each service and provide accountability for those teaching curriculum and God’s Word in SE!KIDS Worship services.
  • Assist Worship Producer in creating or ordering all needed set pieces and props for each series, in addition to special events in SE!KIDS.
  • Work with SE!KIDS Worship Producer and SE!KIDS team to meet production needs for special events throughout the year including tech, scripts, etc. Participate in special events and camp as needed.
  • Maintain and organize the prop, event, and costume closets throughout the ministry, including creating a process for managing the lending of pieces to other ministries.
  • In partnership with Worship Producer, create ProPresenter files that include all video, graphics and media for each worship space as well as those needed for special events.
  • Film and edit videos for SE!KIDS Blankenbaker as needed.
  • Assist with creating social media graphics, development, and scheduling specifically for SE!KIDS Blankenbaker as well as content on screens in the ED Wing.

Essential Requirements and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • At least two years of experience in children’s ministry and/or production.
  • Extremely organized; ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Strong interpersonal skills and coaching abilities
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, production equipment and Planning Center or willing to learn
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Team player with enthusiasm for collaboration
  • Highly effective and engaging communication skills- spoken and written
  • Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church (or willing to become one) who supports our Statement of Faith, submits to the leadership established by the church, and lives out our church Mantra in tangible ways.
