Job Title: Summer STEAM Program Managers Grades 1-8
(Up to 4 positions - 2 per site)
Job Description: This position involves directly working with the program leads to assist with day-to-day Summer STEAM program needs, including: leading or assisting in a variety of classrooms and afternoon camps as necessary; helping with administrative tasks, such as organizing supplies and entering data; serving as a mentor to Program Facilitators; and filling in where staffing vacancies exist.
Summer STEAM will run from June 17 through August 1, 2024, Monday - Thursday. On June 19th and July 4th, there will be no Summer STEAM. There may be additional paid opportunities for staff interested in working bus supervision, family engagement events, and at the end of the program to assist with the pack up of Summer STEAM materials. There will be some required training dates for staff during the week of June 10, which will be communicated to all hired staff once details are finalized. This position will report to Jefferson (grades 1-4) or Faribault High School (grades 5-8) from 7:30am - 3:30pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch and will be approximately 200 hours at $21.16/hour. Applicants who are available for the entirety of the program will be considered first. Qualifications: Experience with working in a summer camp setting and leading activities with youth. Ability to be a leader and be flexible with day to day duties. Knowledgeable of and experienced with the Summer STEAM program. Enrolled in, graduated from or on track for a Bachelor’s degree program.
