Job Description
Summer School is Back! We are excited to offer summer school again to students going into grades 1-8 for the 2022-23 school year. The first step in this process is to seek qualified and interested candidates to apply for positions.
What is the same?

• Grades 1-4 will be at Neveln Elementary
• Grades 5-8 will be at IJ Holton
• Transportation will be provided
• Summer School Lead Coordinators at each site.
• EL supported classrooms.
• Materials/Supplies provided

What is changing to expand our capacity to serve

• The 2022 Summer Session will run for 6 weeks Monday-Thursday.
• Teachers in grades 1-7 will have a curriculum provided for students in reading and math.
• Teachers in grade 8 will have materials provided and additional planning time.
• A research-developed curriculum for all students working on Social Emotional Learning will be provided.
• Additional time for preparing and planning will be provided to staff.

• Summer school dates:
  • June: 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th
  • July: (not the week of the 4th) 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 25th 26th, 27th, 28th
  • August: 1st, 2nd 3rd, 4th (Last Day)
• Summer school hours:
  • 8:00 am – 12:30 pm (Student Day)
  • 7:45 am -12:45 pm (Teacher Day)
• All teachers will be required to attend the curriculum day on Thursday, June 2nd.

Packers in Training (pre k and kindergarten teacher needed)

• July 11 - August 4 - Monday - Friday
• Student times 8 - noon
