The Special Education Due Process Case Facilitator is a Teacher On Special Assignment with duties assigned by the Executive Director of Special Services, including but not limited to:

Develop agenda and lead Case Management Team meetings
Complete testing and observations for initial evaluations AND cover for SPED teachers to perform those tasks for reevaluations as agreed upon during CMT
Assist in writing and finalizing Evaluation Reports
Participate in team meetings as the district representative as needed
Act as a due process paperwork resource to monitor compliance
Mentor SPED teachers for due process paperwork
Function as liaison between district level special services and special education building teams (information shared at CMT)

Report modifications to statewide testing instruments to district office

Qualifications:
Candidates must have or be able to obtain a Physical Education Teacher License & DAPE and Health certification from the Minnesota Department of Education.

Salary and Benefits:
Annual Salary Range is according to education and experience. (Also includes a competitive benefits package of paid time off, health insurance, life insurance, etc.) According to the AEA Working Agreement located within the Human Resource section of the Austin Public Schools website at www.austin.k12.mn.us.
