Qualifications:

• Must be fluent in both Spanish and English - Proof of proficiency may be required
• Must be able to build strong, positive relationships with families and students
• Must have experience with teaching language through content

Responsibilities:

• Work with the Student Success Coordinator, district literacy coach(s) and curriculum to develop a strong immersion kindergarten program and classroom
• Teach language and content in Spanish 100% of the school day
• Work hours from 7:30-3:30 daily
• Regular communication with guardians on student progress

Start Date:

• New teacher workdays begin August 12, 2024
• Regular teacher contract start date is August 19, 2024
• Additional paid days through the summer of 2024 to assist with family meetings and curriculum set-up

Licensure: Elementary teaching license by the State of Minnesota
