Job Description:

Lead Nursing Assistant Class at PEM HS. This class is offered 1st hour during the Spring Semester.

Class Description:

This class will cover topics critical to any student interested in a profession in the health care or human services fields. Units will include awareness & sensitivity, behaviors for success and communication in healthcare, ethics, legal issues, and respecting staff & client diversity. In this class we will cover healthcare safety & standard precautions. Classroom and clinical hours will be spent at PEM HS. Completion of this course prepares students for the Certified Nursing Assistant test. Students are responsible for completing the certification test within four months of completing classroom and clinical hours.

Qualifications:

Current Minnesota registered nurse license to verify Board of Nursing status.
At least 2 years of licensed nursing experience in the U.S. and at least 1 year of licensed nursing experience in the provision of long term care facility services in the U.S.
