Description:

Pine Island School District is seeking a qualified Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the education and lives of students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement personalized education plans for students with diverse needs, including those with hearing impairments.
Collaborate closely with educators, special education personnel, and relevant service providers to address student needs.
Maintain accurate record-keeping and documentation in alignment with district and state regulations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or related field.
Valid teaching license or certification in Deaf Education or Special Education with Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement.
Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing is preferred.

Note: This is a part-time position with a 0.1 FTE or approximately 20 days per year. Exact scheduling details will be discussed with the successful candidate.
