At Southall, we are looking for pool team members to help us as we continue our journey to inspire culinary consciousness – showcasing fresh, seasonal fare that highlights the path from seed to plate. Our dining experiences take place just steps from where our ingredients are grown and raised. The Pool Server or Bartender will be responsible for guiding guests through the menu, anticipating their needs and delivering the highest level of personalized service and attention to our guests enjoying our pool amenity.

Job Type: Part-Time or Full-Time Seasonal
Work Location: Weekend availability April through May, full time Memorial Day through pool season.

This is an hourly plus tip share role.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and attentive experience to our guests by being knowledgeable about pool and cocktail menu offerings.

• Communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen and bar using the hotel’s point-of-sales system; coordinate food?and beverage?timings.

• Check completed kitchen orders with the guest’s original order and?transport items to the guest table?or lounge chair?in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.

• Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.

• Read each table and lounge chair to assess guests needs, ie. Clean Towels, Suntan Lotion, Ice water etc. creating a customized experience?for a variety of local guests, international travelers, and inn guests alike.

• Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals.

• Breakdown, clean and set-up of tables and chairs

• Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.

• Assists with responsibilities and duties in the absence of or due to heavy volume in other areas of Food & Beverage when needed.

Skills and Experience

• Restaurant hospitality experience including food, wine, and liquor knowledge.

• Food Handler and Alcohol Certifications as required by Tennessee.

• Strong organizational, communication and collaboration skills to resolve any guest issues that may arise.

• Attention to detail

Education and Requirements

• High School Diploma

• Must be able to push, pull and lift 50 lbs

• Available to work weekends, evenings and/or holidays.

• Must be able to walk and stand for prolonged periods as needed.

• Ability to work in all weather conditions as this is an outdoor position.
