JOB CLASSIFICATION:

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent
One year in related field
Must possess valid PA driver’s license (Valid CDL license preferred but not required)
Training and experience with mechanics
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently/autonomously as well as collaborate with a team
Basic computer skills; including but not limited to Microsoft Office and checking email
Ability to hear with 40 decibel loss maximum and see with acuity of 20 inches or less and far acuity of at least 20 feet normal depth perception, field of vision and accommodation
Ability to reach above and below the waist, walk and use fingers to pick, feel, and grasp objects, and the use of both hands for repetitive motion. The ability to lift/carry items weighing no more than 60 lbs.
Ability to stand or walk eighty percent (80%) of workday
REPORTS TO:
Maintenance Supervisor
JOB SUMMARY:
Provide support to district grounds department by assisting with general grounds keeping duties and by maintaining and repairing district owned equipment and vehicles.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform duties professionally and harmoniously while working alongside district staff, student and the public.
Independently perform duties dependably and punctually.
Prioritize student, staff and public welfare and safety. Observe safety procedures and district protocol.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment required for the upkeep and care of district facilities and grounds, e.g., mowers, snow blowers, tractors, grounds equipment, etc.
Maintain a clean and safe shop area.
Help to maintain proper maintenance records on district equipment and vehicles using the computer program provided.
Perform welding repairs as needed.
Preform installation and maintenance of all athletic fields.
Assist with snow removal as required.
Perform landscaping such as but not limited to; fertilizing and seeding fields, mowing and trimming grass.
Perform hauling duties as required.
Inventory, order and stock job related supplies when necessary.
Assist in traffic control and student crossing.
Assist with maintaining environmental areas.
Help with district hauling and deliveries.
Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
