Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Medical/Appointment Scheduler to join our busy orthopedic and pain management medical practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a high volume of phone calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate patient information.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answering phones with a friendly and customer-focused approach
• Entering accurate patient information and verifying insurance details.
• Collecting deductibles and co-pays at the time of service.
• Scheduling appointments and maintaining patient paperwork
• Following up with patients who have missed appointments.
• Interacting professionally with physicians, patients, and insurance companies.
• Utilizing computer skills to manage patient accounts and paperwork.
• Adhering to HIPAA and OSHA requirements.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience in a medical front office preferred.
• Proficiency in customer service and basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of medical billing and collections is desirable.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; Spanish proficiency is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, especially Athena, is a plus.
• Must have US work authorization.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasional lifting or moving of up to 20 pounds may be required.
