JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supports day-to-day operations of the e-commerce platform
• Reviews web content, links, and design and ensures the platform is running smoothly
• Optimizes site performance, usability, and customer experience to maximize conversion rates
• Conducts user testing and use analysis to assess usability and effectiveness of site
• Discusses, analyzes, reviews, and resolves usability issues in conjunction with development team
• Develops systems, creates standards, and implements best practices for new product listings, content creation, maintenance, and distribution
• Identifies useful site performance metrics; collects, tracks, records, compiles, analyzes, and reports site usage data
• Monitors and analyzes key performance metrics related to e-commerce, such as traffic, conversion rates, and customer behavior
• Generates regular reports on e-commerce performance, identifying areas for improvement and recommending actionable strategies
• Utilizes data analysis to identify customer insights, preferences, and trends to inform merchandising decisions and marketing strategies
• Develops marketing plan, including designing communications, for email and text campaigns, social media, internal company presentation and other multimedia
• Works with vendors to utilize marketing funds, promotions and corporate sponsorships
• Coordinates internal sales team and customer product training classes
• Maintains social media accounts as well as email and text communication databases
• Determines marketing needs for outside sales team

REQUIREMENTS:

• This is a full-time, in person position in our main branch in the River West area of downtown Chicago
• Ability to work well with others and have a can-do attitude
• At least 3 years of prior website, e-commerce and/or marketing experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact clearly with customers, vendors and other employees
• Exceptional organization skills to keep accurate records and find important information quickly
• Time management skills to prioritize and complete a side variety of tasks throughout the day with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to work independently
• Ability to troubleshooting and solve problems
• Strong competency with related computer software and other applications; prior experience with Canva and Mailchimp, or similar programs, a bonus
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates/Bachelors degree in related field preferred
