Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting ophthalmologists in providing quality eye care to our patients. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preliminary eye examinations, including gathering patient history and performing diagnostic tests.
• Assist optometrist in various procedures, such as eye exams and vision screenings.
• Administer eye drops and medications as directed by the doctor.
• Conduct specialized tests, such as visual field testing, OCT scans, and fundus photography.
• Educate patients on proper eye care techniques and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Assist with administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician or similar role.
• Certification as an Ophthalmic Technician (COT) preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in conducting diagnostic tests and interpreting results.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and eye care procedures.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
