Duties include but are not limited to:•Oversees the fiscal administration of all business affairs including budget preparation, expenditures, revenues, accounting, and evaluation•Supervise and coordinate external funding activities, including state, federal and private grants•Serve as liaison with relevant municipal, state, and federal offices•Fiscal responsibility and supervision of school maintenance, and other operational services •Coordinate and supervise the procurement and disbursement of all school system supplies and equipment•Coordinate group purchasing opportunities for member districts•Prepare all tax reports for State and Federal government•Prepare monthly tuition billing to towns and cities•Coordinate and arrange for audit of school accounts•Supervise business office personnel in preparation of warrants, payroll and employee benefits•Serve as primary contact with banks• Prepare monthly financial statements for accounts•Serve as Purchasing Officer, including RFP’s and bids for supplies, equipment, and services as required by law•Prepare the annual SSEC budget for submission to the Board of Directors•Oversee the preparation of drafts of Committee policies and administrative regulations for the Executive Director’s review and action•Assist the Executive Director in negotiating contracts with health insurance agencies, state agencies and transportation companies•Assist in the preparation of information for, and participate in, the collective bargaining process•Oversee workers’ compensation, health insurance, liability insurance and employee benefits•Prepare reports and provide information required by the Federal and State government and other regulatory agencies•Prepare all budgets for contracts, grants and reconciliation•Manage and maintain technology systems for financial operations and school district needs•Maintain oversight of construction projects.•Supervise facility manager•Oversee SSEC transportation vehicles, maintenance and custodial services. •Member of the Safety and Health Committee.•Member of SSEC OPEB committee.•Maintain and update an accurate inventory of equipment and property.•Other tasks as assigned by the Executive Director
