South Seattle Veterinary Hospital is looking for a strong, self-motivated team member to fill a vital role at our hospital. Kennel attendants have a critical place in the overall team build that makes the hospital run smoothly. Here at South Seattle Vet, we see everyday clientele and we also take ER cases 24hrs a day, 7days a week.
A desired attendant would be able to work under different types of pressure, maintain a positive attitude, and help keep the workplace a fun and efficient one.
Job Duties include:
Cleaning and maintaining kennels, cages, and runs.
Providing basic animal care
Friendly, upbeat attitude towards other staff and clientele.
Monitoring and observing patients, and reporting unusual findings to the DVM immediately, as well as recording patient activity.
Help control and manage inventory/stocking.Operation of X-ray machine ,administring medication ,helping vet tech in performing iv ,blood draws & running lab machines Client Communication/Follow up care instruction ,Cleaning kennels and walking dogs ,Maintaining patient record and proper routine care ,Communicate changes in patients with other staff
and a number of other duties.
Setting up New Clients/Patients in Avimark
Entering Medical Records
and a number of other duties.
Skills and Requirements:
Ability to lift 40lbs or more and ability to stand on feet for 6 - 8 hours at a time
Observation skills ,veterinary field experience prefered ,
Cleaning & sanitation
Animal handling - can not be fearful of patients or unable to restrain properly.
High School degree or equivalent is required. Veterinary Assistant/Kennel attendant experience and/or schooling preferred.'
