The Compost Laboratory Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the production of high-quality compost, which is the foundation for cultivating the mushroom crops. Expertise in laboratory testing and analysis will be key in maintaining the optimal conditions necessary for mushroom growth. Role and Responsibilities:

• Compost Testing: Conduct routine laboratory tests on compost samples to assess their chemical composition, nutrient levels, pH balance, moisture content, and other essential parameters to ensure consistent quality.
• Data Collection: Accurately record and maintain comprehensive data logs.
• Equipment Maintenance: Regularly maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring precision and reliability in test results.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and laboratory procedures, including handling hazardous materials and disposing of waste according to regulations.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other members.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Proven experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in composting, agriculture, or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment operation and data analysis.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
• Familiarity with composting principles, substrates, and the factors effecting mushroom growth is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work on a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays..
