South Middlesex Opportu is Hiring a Clinical Supervisor Near Framingham, MA

SUMMARY

Provide clinical oversight and guidance to staff and managers to ensure appropriate and professional service delivery to survivors of sexual and domestic violence. Conduct both individual and group clinical supervision as required or needed.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, implement and maintain a clinical framework that guides and enhances service delivery to victims and survivors including the development of appropriate tools and assessments. 
  • Conduct group and individual clinical supervision with staff to support direct services and reduce vicarious trauma.
  • Collaborate with the program managers to develop and deliver trauma informed services across all program models. 
  • Provide ongoing training and staff development on clinical issues and interventions as needed to enhance and support staff growth.
  • Provide one-on-one crisis intervention, counseling and advocacy to program participants as needed. 
  • Coordinate support groups services for community based and shelter clients; co-facilitate as needed.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with other service providers and allied professionals both within and outside of SMOC; serve as a liaison to facilitate communication between outpatient services, providers and staff.
  • Provide ongoing training and the development and modification of policies and practices as needed that are related to the delivery of clinical services.
  • Prepare and maintain records and relevant documents.
  • Engage all clients by understanding and addressing their needs whether within or outside the scope of work.
  • Attend & participate in team meetings as requested and communicate effectively with clients and staff in other areas.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client, employee and agency information in accordance with federal and state laws and funder requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with program/department, agency and/or funder requirements, as well as, SMOC policies & procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s-level licensed social worker or counselor, psychiatric nurse, psychologist or psychiatrist required.
  • Minimum three years' experience providing services to survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence
  • Familiarity with criminal justice and police systems; demonstrated commitment to survivors of trauma required. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and written & verbal communication skills required. 
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
  • Bilingual Spanish or Portuguese preferred.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP

  • Directly reports to Component Director, Voices Against Violence. 
  • Direct reports of this position are none.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to drive long and short distances. 

WORKING CONDITIONS

As part of the responsibilities of this position, the Clinical Director will have direct or incidental contact with clients served by SMOC in various programs funded or administered through the Executive Office of Health and Human Services. A successful background check is required
