We are seeking an RN manager for an exceptional GI specialty practice with 4 clinics, 27 physicians, 6 AHPs and a great RN team that works closely with our gastroenterologists who specialize in digestive and liver diseases.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of clinical RN management, preferably in a Physician practice, GI or other specialty experience is preferred. This candidate will also be able to demonstrate proficiency in all Microsoft applications, is detail-oriented, able to work independently, and has excellent organization and time-management skills. An RN with strong Med-Surg experience and clinical expertise in patient care coordination, infusion therapies, venipuncture, triage, general and pre-op patient assessment under physician direction is required.
We seek an RN Manager who is a team player that displays strength in leadership with critical thinking skills and intuitive nursing judgment, has a reliable attendance record, demonstrates flexibility, and possesses compassion and a commitment to excellent nursing care and professionalism.
RN Manager Expectations:
· Responsible for management of all RN clinical operations, MD collaboration, which includes patient triage, infusion, and care coordination of Hepatitis C, Crohns and Colitis patients to provide the highest level of nursing care in a Physician practice setting.
· Maintain department and company goals through proven teambuilding skills.
· Provide exceptional management and oversight for training of all nursing personnel in the MD practice.
· Work beside RN team performing daily clinic operations when needed
· Responsible for recruitment, interviewing, selection and orientation.
· Evaluate performance relative to RN team goals, coaching and coordination of in-service education for disease-specific conditions and treatments.
· Develop training materials/protocols for the nursing department in collaboration with thePhysicians, CEO and other departments/locations.
· Fiscal responsibility that includes, working directly with the CEO and Director of Revenue Cycle to manage drug and supply costs of the IBD Program infusions.
· Collaboration with management team to support needs of the practice, clinic and departments
· Utilize established tools to monitor both employee and patient satisfaction to improve deficiencies.
Qualifications:
· Registered Nurse, BSN required
Proven record of accomplishment in clinical nursing management with 5 years of nursing management experience.
· Proficiency in telephone/electronic triage, venipunctures, infusion therapy, medication handling and safety guidelines, hands on med-surg skills, patient care coordination and RN education is needed. Proficiency in managing the care and coordination of patients with chronic illness.
· Knowledge and ability to effectively write and implement policies and procedures.
A candidate with, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and an understanding of human relations.
· Ability to lead and motivate RN, staff for successful patient outcomes, and department performance.
