This is a Full-Time 40 Hour Weekly position with the Bureau of Human Resources and Administration - Building and Grounds. For more information on the Bureau of Human Resources and Administration, please visit https://boa.sd.gov/.
The Bureau of Human Resources and Administration is seeking to fill a grounds keeper vacancy. Primary duties include maintaining lawns, trees, flowers, shrubs, parking lots, and sidewalks using hand and power tools, landscaping machinery, and related equipment to ensure the Capitol Complex is properly cared for and maintained. Successful incumbents must have the ability to work as part of a team or individually with general instructions. Additional duties include lifting furniture and completing office moves when required.
Must have a valid driver’s license. Work hours are generally 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; however, incumbents must be able to work outside the normal schedule as needed. Ability to work in inclement weather when conditions require.
